Faithful Moms
Leaving an Example That Will Last for Generations
Few roles are more important - and more often unseen - than motherhood.
If you are a mom reading this, you do not need anyone to tell you how vital your role is. But please hear this: we see you, we appreciate you, and we are thankful for the way you lead in your home, and how you seek to point your kids to Jesus.
Even if you feel unseen, I pray this short article encourages you and reminds you of the incredible significance of the role God has entrusted to you.
There may not be a busier person on the planet than a mom. You manage the home, juggle schedules, play chauffeur, and may even work outside the home. While this list is not even close to exhaustive, it does show how exhausting your already full days can be.
Which leads to the question: how do you also find time to lead your kids well in the faith?
Here is the good news! Discipleship in the home does not have to be some grandiose plan or a specific formula. It does not require a perfect plan, hours of preparation, or the right curriculum. In fact, discipleship happens in the everyday moments. Oftentimes, God does His greatest work through the smallest and most ordinary parts of our day. He works in the midst of our routine, through the rhythms we create.
Deuteronomy 6:7 tells us that when it comes to God’s Word:
“You shall teach them diligently to your children, and shall talk of them when you sit in your house, and when you walk by the way, and when you lie down, and when you rise.”
So what does this look like in real life? Instead of adding more to your already full plate, find ways to naturally insert spiritual practices into what you are already doing. Here are a few simple ways you can begin.
Talk about Scripture and ask simple questions as you cook or set the table.
Pray together in the car on the way to school or when you tuck them in at night.
Remind them of God’s love for them (and yours) in those hard moments of discipline.
Encourage them to do everything to the best of their ability and seek to bring God glory as they do their homework and participate in extracurricular activities.
Mom, you do not need to do more than you already are, but you can redeem the time God has given you. God is simply calling you to be present, to find the natural rhythms that are already working for you. Make the most of that time and simply point your kids to Jesus. Your kids will remember how their mom prioritized faith in the home, and it will shape how they lead their families one day.
So even when you feel unseen or exhausted from your daily tasks, remember this: your identity is found in Christ alone, not in how well you parent. Be careful not to compare yourself to other moms or to social media influencers. Do not measure your worth by performance or feel defeated when you do not “measure up.” Simply be faithful with what God has given you and love the children He has entrusted to your care.
Remember, it is about faithfulness over perfection. You are not just raising kids. You are shaping hearts. Lead them well, and faithfully point them to Jesus.

I love the fact that there is nothing extra we need to do. All we need is the Bible and to spend time with our kids intentionally
